Susan Avery Flowers and Events has been part of Sydney's floral landscape for more than four decades.
What began as one woman's passion for flowers has grown into one of Australia's most respected floral design studios, known for elegance, creativity and genuine care for the craft of floristry.
Susan Avery arrived in Australia in the late 1970s with a clear ambition: to build a career creating beautiful flowers. In 1982 she opened her first small flower shop in Woollahra. From the beginning, her approach was different. Rather than producing large volumes of standard arrangements, Susan focused on thoughtful design, careful flower selection and arrangements that felt natural, balanced and expressive.
Over time the reputation of the studio grew steadily through word of mouth. Customers returned because they trusted the quality of the flowers and the sensitivity with which each arrangement was created. What started as a neighbourhood florist gradually evolved into a studio known across Sydney for sophisticated floral work.
Today Susan Avery Flowers and Events creates flowers for everyday gifting, weddings, corporate occasions and large-scale events.
The team has worked with families celebrating important life moments as well as organisations hosting major events and international gatherings.
Throughout that growth, the philosophy has remained consistent: flowers should feel personal, carefully composed and appropriate to the moment they are part of.
