Bespoke Office Christmas Decorations: From Design to Installation

Illuminated stars, suspended gold decorations and a Christmas scheme designed to feel at home in a working office.

Christmas decorating in an office takes a little different thinking. The decorations need to bring something festive to the space while leaving room for the everyday business of meetings, visitors and people getting on with their work.

For many years, we have designed and installed bespoke Christmas decorations throughout the offices of a large international client in banking and finance. These photographs show one year’s installation, with a coordinated scheme of gold, light and botanical detail.

What we like about this approach is that the decorations become part of the office. You notice them as you move through the space, with larger features drawing the eye and smaller details carrying the Christmas feeling further.

Working with the Space

The office has a strong character of its own: exposed ceilings, contemporary lighting, open work areas and plenty of established greenery.

That gives us something to respond to. We consider where a decoration will be seen from, what sits behind it and how its scale relates to the surrounding furniture and planting.

In this installation, the existing greenery gave the gold decorations a natural backdrop. The contrast helped the Christmas details stand out without needing to fill every available surface.

Gold Details Above the Everyday

One of the features was a suspended arrangement of metallic foliage and gold baubles. The ornaments hung at different heights on gold ribbon, creating a loose rhythm beneath the foliage.

We combined shiny, matt and patterned finishes. Keeping them within a close colour palette allowed those differences in texture to do the work.

Suspended decorations also bring the design into a different part of the room. They can be appreciated from several angles while leaving the surfaces beneath them available for use.

Illuminated Stars Among the Greenery

Large illuminated stars provided another focal point. Their open outlines gave them presence without making them look solid or heavy against the office interior.

Set among the planting, the warm lights introduced a recognisable Christmas shape into an otherwise familiar working environment. Smaller gold details helped connect these larger pieces with the rest of the scheme.

That relationship matters when decorating throughout an office. The individual arrangements can vary, but there should be enough shared colour, material and light for them to feel connected.

From the Design to the Finished Installation

Our service brings the design and installation together. We develop a scheme for the office and install the decorations on site, considering both the individual features and how they work as a whole.

There is a practical side to every decision: the position of a feature, its proportions, the surrounding work areas and the view from different parts of the room.

Returning to a client over many years also gives us familiarity with their offices. We build an understanding of the spaces and the level of decoration that suits them, while still finding ways to make each Christmas installation feel considered.

Planning Christmas Decorations for Your Office

If you are considering Christmas decorations for your workplace, photographs of the office and a few notes about the areas you would like decorated are a useful starting point.

Tell us about your preferred colours, the atmosphere you have in mind and when you would like the installation ready. We can discuss an approach that suits the setting, from a feature in reception to a coordinated scheme across several office areas.

Christmas installations are part of our wider corporate flowers and event styling service. We would love to hear what you have in mind for your workplace.
