A Botanical Match: Klorane’s Corporate Event at The Calyx, Sydney

A long timber table, a flowing line of white flowers and greenery, and a botanical brand that felt completely at home in the Garden.

Some events have a natural connection between the client, the venue and the flowers. This corporate dining event for Klorane at The Calyx was one of them.

Klorane places plants at the heart of its haircare brand. Set within the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, The Calyx provided a fitting setting for a table designed around that botanical identity.

We designed, styled and installed the flowers, bringing white blooms and layered green foliage along the length of the table. The effect was fresh and generous, with the planting, timber and table details all speaking the same language.

Translating Klorane’s Botanical Identity into Flowers

Matching flowers to a corporate brand goes beyond choosing a colour from a logo. We look at the broader feeling: the materials, the shapes and the relationship the brand has with its subject.

For Klorane, the connection to plants gave the flowers a clear direction. A predominantly white and green palette kept attention on the botanical material itself—the different leaves, the flower forms and the texture of the foliage.

White flower spikes brought lift through the centre of the table. Broad, glossy leaves gave the composition weight, while finer foliage softened the edges and linked one section with the next.

That variety was important. The palette was restrained, but there was plenty happening within it.

One Long Table, One Continuous Garden

The timber dining table gave us a strong line to work with. Rather than treating each place setting as a separate moment, the flowers formed a continuous botanical centre, carrying the eye from one end to the other.

From a distance, it read as a sweep of green and white. Up close, individual flowers and leaves became the detail.

The natural timber remained visible beside the arrangements, keeping warmth in the setting. Timber chairs repeated that material around the table, while the white plates and clear glassware allowed the flowers to hold the centre.

Small Details That Belonged to the Same Story

The botanical connection continued at each place setting. The menus carried illustrated foliage and Klorane Botanical Foundation branding, with small succulents adding another plant detail beside the plates.

Those touches mattered because they connected what guests saw in front of them with the larger floral scheme. The table felt like a complete setting for Klorane, with the flowers supporting the identity already present in the printed details.

It is a useful approach for corporate event styling: give the brand room to be recognised through the whole experience, from the first view of the table to the smallest detail at a guest’s place.

Working with The Calyx

The Calyx sits within a garden setting that already has a strong botanical character. Our table flowers continued that connection at a more intimate scale.

The photographs capture daylight across the room, with the long table standing out against the surrounding space. The white flowers picked up that brightness, while the foliage and exposed timber kept the setting grounded in natural materials.

Our installation brought the design together on site, considering the full length of the table as well as the spacing around the individual settings.

What we particularly liked about this event was how comfortably the elements came together. Klorane’s botanical identity, the garden venue and the flowers each reinforced the others.
